Apple has unveiled its latest app, Apple Invites, which is designed to help iPhone users create custom invitations for any occasion.
This new app, available for download from the App Store or on iCloud.com, allows users to easily send invitations, manage RSVPs, create collaborative event albums, and curate Apple Music playlists. The app is available for iCloud+ subscribers to create invitations, while anyone can RSVP regardless of device or Apple Account.
Brent Chiu-Watson, Apple’s Senior Director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Apps and iCloud, explained, “With Apple Invites, an event comes to life from the moment the invitation is created, and users can share lasting memories even after they get together.” He emphasized that the app integrates popular features across Apple services, including iCloud and Apple Music, to simplify event planning.
The app offers a range of features, including a curated gallery of event backgrounds and integration with Maps and Weather for directions and forecasts. Guests can easily contribute photos and videos to a Shared Album, helping preserve memories from the event. Apple Music subscribers can also build collaborative playlists for the event, available directly from the app.
Apple Invites also brings a unique twist with Apple Intelligence, allowing users to generate original images using the built-in Image Playground feature. This feature makes it easy to create custom, personalized visuals for invitations based on photos or event themes. Users can also access Writing Tools to find the perfect phrases for invitations.
Managing events is made simple for hosts, who can view RSVPs, share invitations through a link, and control which event details appear. Guests can also respond via the app or web, even without an Apple account, and have the option to leave or report an event at any time.
Additionally, iCloud+ subscribers benefit from expanded storage for photos, private browsing with Private Relay, and a host of other premium features, such as Custom Email Domains and HomeKit Secure Video. iCloud+ subscriptions start at $0.99 per month.
Apple Invites is available today as a free download for all iPhone models running iOS 18 or later and can be accessed via the web at icloud.com/invites.
